Salmon Kings 'Pink in the Rink'

It was a night of sport and giving as the Salmon Kings held their second 'Pink in the Rink' evening at the Save on Foods Memorial Centre. The first 3,000 fans to make a donation to the BC Cancer Foundation on game night received a limited edition scarf and the Salmon Kings had 2,000 pink scarves and 1,000 grey scarves on hand to help raise money for the BC Cancer Foundation.
Last year the Salmon Kings raised nearly $2500 in ticket sales and in the end over $13,000 was donated to Breast Cancer Research. This year the Salmon Kings will be donating all profits from the 50/50 and Chuck-A-Puck to the BC Cancer Foundation in hopes of building a better future for the thousands of British Columbian's it affects each year.
Players showed their support that night by dawning pink BC Cancer Foundation stickers on their helmets and the coaching staff all wore pink ties and pins during the game
