Wild Lilies Gala

The Wild Lilies Gala, in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, BC/Yukon Region, was held to celebrate the power of women like the Sisters of Saint Ann and Emily Carr.
Emily Carr painted an oil painting of wild lilies that was thought to be have been a favourite of her sister Elizabeth. After Elizabeth passed away from breast cancer, Emily gave the painting to the Sisters of Saint Ann in appreciation of the care they provided to Lizzie. The painting has not been widely seen by the public and has been in a private collection but the original painting was unveiled at the Gala.
This gala, held at the Crystal Gardens, featured a fabulous dinner and great entertainment all to help raise awareness and funds for a future without breast cancer
