Pink in the Rink

On Jan 16th the Victoria Salmon Kings suited up in pink jerseys and took on the Bakersfield Condors in the third annual "Pink In The Rink" which was played to help raise money for the B.C Cancer Foundation. Five dollars from each promotional ticket was donated and volunteers sold pink toques as well as other Salmon Kings merchandise to help raise even more money for the fight against cancer. After the game (which the S-Kings won in a shootout), their jerseys were auctioned off. David Shantz's jersey was sold to a Salmon King fan for a whopping $825.00!
Before the big game, SNAP was also invited down to the kick-off for this event at Hillside Shopping Centre where some lucky kids got the chance to play floor hockey with their favourite Salmon King
