On Saturday, July 31st and Monday, August 2nd 2010 The Ricordanza Trio will launch their first annual Chamber Music Festival. This Canadian trio, featuring Carole Bestvater, violin; Shiori Kobayashi, clarinet; and Frank Chu, piano will be joined by tenor, Isaiah Bell.
These four acclaimed musicians will come together to present two diverse concerts of unique classical works, with something for every listener to enjoy.
Shiori and Frank founded The Ricordanza Trio in 2007 along with a fellow colleague at Brandon University in Manitoba, and in the spring of 2009, Carole Bestvater tookover the trio's vacant string position. During the 2008 season, the Ricordanza Trio were representatives and prize winners at both Saskatchewan and Manitoba's National Performing Arts Festival. The Trio's main focus has always been to explore music written for their unique combination of instruments, which led to the creation of the Chamber Festival giving them an opportunity to present these unique works. Ricordanza's commitment to their musical connection remains constant despite the fact that members are professionally engaged internationally.
The Trio will be joined by Isaiah Bell, first prize winner of the 2009 Canadian National Performing Arts Festival, and they look forward to an exciting weekend of classical music.
Tickets: $15 Adults/$10 Students for a single concert or $25/$15 for weekend pass
